History of Beck's

Originally constructed in 1820 as Kostenbader's Hotel...
It was purchased by Jacob Serfass in 1859 and then became known as the Bushkill Centre Hotel. See the photo behind the reservation desk taken in 1880! It is at this time that we believe it became a stage coach inn. The original building was destroyed by fire in 1912. The property was sold to Harvey and Sarah Werner in 1915 and a new building was rebuilt on the original foundation. Around 1946 Bill Krouse purchased the hotel which stored school supplies for the Chestnut School, now the Dorney home. Students walked from school to the hotel for their books and school supplies.

In 2002...
The Beck's purchased and transformed this historic building into the thriving, exciting, one-of-a-kind destination restaurant it is today. The bar room and aspects of the kitchen still remain on the original foundation. The menu's inspiration comes from using the freshest steaks and seafood to create signature entrees with the finest ingredients.

Sincerely,

Randy, Cheryl and Cale
